JI announces names for three ministries in KPK govt

PESHAWAR -

The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) have announced names for three ministries in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial government.
Sirajul Haq, Inayatullah Khan and Habibur Rehman have been put forward for the ministries of education, zakat and finance. Speaking to the media after a meeting, provincial Amir JI Senator Professor Ibrahim said that a consensus has been reached on Sirajul Haq, Inayatullah Khan and Habibur Rehman.
He said that that the final names for the three ministries will be reached after more discussions.
The JI leader said that the three coalition parties will have similar number of ministries in the province.
Ibrahim said that whoever the minister is from whichever coalition party, he will be representing all three parties. He said that the parties will work to bring about peace in the province.“This will be done by making efforts to improve unemployment, health and education along with ending loadshedding,” the JI leader said.
He said that the system will be one based on merit. “Good governance along with justice will be implemented to make a corruption free government,” Ibrahim said.
He said that names of candidates for re-polling in elections are still being discussed. The JI leader said that elections had been held in the country in a disorderly and badly managed manner.
When replying to a question, he said that whether the Taliban come to them for peace talks or they call the Taliban, does not matter as long as the chance for a durable peace is not wasted.
