BAJAUR AGENCY  - A militant was killed and a security personal sustained injuries when unknown miscreants attacked Bajaur levies post in Sheikh Kali area on Tuesday night.
The officials of local administration told Wednesday that group of unidentified militants fired several rockets and mortars at a post of Bajaur levies force at Sheikh Kali of Bajaur.
The officials said that levies forces successfully pushed back the militants' attack and a attacker wearing a military uniform was killed on the spot. A levies man identified, as Attuallah wounded in the exchange of firing. "The levies forces with the help of members of peace committee have successfully repulsed the attack carried out by unknown armed men," Khalid Khan a senior official of the administration told.  Residents of the area told the volunteers of a nearby village defence committee and levies personnel sprang into action soon after the attack and opened firing on the attackers.
The body of militant killed in exchange of firing was taken to Levies Line in Khar for investigation, however, the other attackers managed escape from the scene.
No one has taken responsibility of the attack while the administration and the levies force have launched an investigation into the attack.
Local administration with the help of levies force and members of village defence committee also initiated search operation in the area.
The local administration has also deployed additional personnel at levies posts situated at tehsil Khar
