Complete support if govt downs drones, says Malik

ISLAMABAD  - Former Interior Minister and PPP Senator Rehman Malik has said that Opposition would extend complete support to government if it decides to shoot down US drones.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said that former President Pervez Musharraf got justice from the courts, but Benazir Bhutto was still waiting for justice.
Rehman Malik said that the government should end the ongoing deadlock and confrontation with the Opposition in Senate and suggested that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should intervene in the matter.
He said that during May 11 elections campaign, leaders from PTI and PML-N were raising slogans to shoot down the US drones after coming into power but now why the government was feeling hesitant in this regard.  He said that if the government decided to shoot down the drones, all Opposition parties including the PPP would support the action.
Rehman Malik said that the US drone attacks would not stop if the government stopped Nato supplies because NATO supplies remained suspended in the past but the drone attacks continued in Pakistan.
