LAHORE - Chairman Chief Ministers Task Force on Health Dr Saeed Elahi has said that the Punjab government has approved the service structure of paramedics working in public hospitals in the province, and 50,000 employees would benefit from this decision.
Talking to a delegation of Paramedics Association of Punjab, which called on him at the Civil Secretariat here Wednesday, Saeed said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had taken various concrete steps for the welfare of government servants, and a large number of contract employees working in various departments including health had been regularised.
On the demand of the delegation to regularise the employees working in the government hospitals against the vacancies created by the Board of Management, Saeed assured them that this particular case of employees would also be sent to the government for sympathetic consideration.
Association President Sultan Mehmood, General Secretary Asad Naqvi, Malik Munir, Riaz Baloch and Hafiz Muhammad Awais were included in the delegation. Additional Secretary Health (Tech) Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Sulahriya and Deputy Secretary (Admn) Behzad Anwar were also present in the meeting.
