PPP-'N' body to fine-tune package

ISLAMABAD - Major political players, the Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Tuesday agreed to proceed with the proposed constitutional package by setting up a joint committee for fine-tuning the draft before tabling it in the Parliament after the budget. Well-placed political sources told TheNation that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, during their three-hour long meeting at the Zardari House, also agreed to clip the overwhelming powers vested in the office of the President of Pakistan.
