LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Friday invited Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan to invest in development of infrastructure for the energy projects in the Punjab. While talking to Chief Executive of the Bank, Juniad Ahmad, who called on him, the Chief Minister offered the Bank consultation with the concerned authorities for the purpose of working out practicable proposals for investment in infrastructure and energy sectors.
Junaid Ahmed while replying to the offer positively said that the Bank also desires to invest in the same sectors.
The Chief Minister informed the CE about the ‘solid’ steps government is taking for a sustained economic development of the country and the favourable atmosphere it is providing to local and the foreign investors. He said the government measures have largely encouraged the foreign investors in infrastructure and energy sectors where development will also create new job opportunities besides pushing up economic activity.
Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Minister for Industries Muhammad Shafique, Chairman Planning & Development, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Secretary Industries as well as senior officers of the bank were also present.
