KARACHI - The auditors and accounting practitioners have said that the cost of production of any company and industry can be reduced by applying various management accounting techniques with an objective to add their competitive advantage and profit maximization. The experts expressed these views while speaking at a seminar titled "Antidumping Law-A Cost Audit Perspective" organized jointly by Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and Trade Development and Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) here on Saturday. The seminar was initiated with the opening remarks by Javed Anwer Khan, Director General TDAP. By then, presentations were given by Mushtaq Maddraswala, Executive Director, ICMAP and Abdul Khaliq Chishty, Director General, NTC following brief talk on the topic by Nasim Qureshi, Director General, Ministry of Textile Industry and Mujeeb Ahmed Khan, Head WTO Cell, TDAP.
