Export of surgical, medical instruments increases

ISLAMABAD : The export of surgical goods and medical instruments in the country increased in July 2013 by 17.57 per cent as compared to July 2012. According to statistical data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), during July 2013 year surgical goods and other medical instruments worth of $30.814 million exported while in the same period of 2012 the exports of such instruments remained $26.210 million. The exports of chemicals and pharmaceutical products increased by 66.5 per cent and reached at $106.02 million in last month.

, which was recorded at $63.67 million during the same month of last year.
Furthermore, Pakistan bureau of statistics revealed that cutlery goods worth $ 7.25 million exported from the country in July 2013 which was recorded at $ 7.23 million in same month of last financial year showing an increase of 0.25 percent.
