Religious Ministry organises Haj Policy 2014 workshop

LAHORE  - Ministry of Religious Affairs Pakistan arranged a Haj Policy 2014 workshop on Monday and PIA’s District Manager Muhammad Umar Daraz Awan and Manager Haj PIA participated as representatives of PIA. While addressing the participants of workshop Umar Daraz said that PIA management during Haj operation 2013 kept in touch with Ministry Religious Affairs and Haj organisers. That was the reason Haj operation 2013 was successfully completed.
He was of the view that PIA considers Haj pilgrims as a religious passenger rather than a revenue passenger. He said that all sorts of facilities were provided to Haj pilgrims. He said that Haj fares were fixed with the consultation and direction of Pakistan government. He pledged that PIA would provide more facilities to its Haj pilgrims during next Haj operation.
It is worth mentioning here that during last Haj operation PIA made matchless arrangements at Jeddah and other Saudi and Pakistani airports to facilitate Haj pilgrims.  A group of journalists were also sent Jeddah and Madina to observe the arrangements made by PIA management. PIA flights also achieved good punctuality rate during last Haj operation for which credit goes to MD PIA and his team members.
