KSE bout of slump sinks the index down

Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on the last day of the week's trading today remained downbeat, as the index came reeling down below 12000 marks. The market for the fifth day today couldn't come out of its sluggish trend and opened on a negative note, which persisted all through the day, as the investors' confidence thoroughly shaken took no interest in trading, which remained lackluster and made a new record of the lowest turnover ever. Energy, banking, cement and insurance stocks were seen at their intraday lowest. KSE-100 index at the end of trading session today eroding 74 points wrapped up at 11961 points.
