Business community, defence institutions interaction vital: ICCI


ISLAMABAD - A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by its President Zafar Bakhtawari visited Naval Head Quarters for having a meeting with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila.
Addressing the meeting, Chief of the Naval Staff highlighted the dynamic role of Pakistan Navy which stands as an effective and efficient arm of the country’s Armed Forces, fully capable of protecting the maritime frontiers and maintaining much needed deterrence.  The Naval Chief said that Pakistan Navy has emerged as an effective instrument of national power and capable of showing presence in our area of interest while fully contributing towards nation building.
He said that Coastal and port security remains a high-priority area for the Pakistan Navy, and we are making concerted efforts in this direction.  Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila demanded a collective and coordinated response from all stakeholders to face the global challenges confronted to our country.
Speaking on the occasion, Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI lauded the role of Pakistan Navy in making defense impregnable. He also appreciated Pakistan Navy for harnessing the latest technology and its effective use in performance of their duties.
Bakhtawari assured full support of business community to Pakistan Navy and said that greater mutual interaction between business community and defense institutions is needed for wellbeing of our country.
He also lauded the rich history of Pakistan Navy’s individual bravery and mastery of profession and added that the nation pinned high hopes on them and expected them to fully justify their calling as brave defenders of Pakistan.
