LAHORE - The LTC chairman has said that efforts are being made to increase the existing fleet of buses in the City and planning for new operational routes is on an upswing.
Presiding over a meeting, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan said the Lahore Transport Company entered successfully into arrangements with local and foreign private transport companies that paved the way of bringing state of the art CNG air-conditioned buses on various urban routes. “As regards the upcoming visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan for Turkey unlike other projects support and cooperation will also be extended in transport sector,” he held.Khawaja Hassan has said that both courtiers have had deep-rooted ties and the profound interest shown by the Turkish investors in various sectors would unleash new avenues for investment in projects of mutual interest.
He said that various proposals would be given to the Turkish investors from Punjab government in respect of opportunities in diversified sectors. He said that metro bus was an example of successful project that has restored the confidence of foreign investors.
