Rs474.111m allocated for Commerce Division projects

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The government has allocated Rs 474.111 million for various projects of Commerce Division in Public Sector Development Programme for the year 2010-11. Out of the total allocations, Rs 465.880 million have been allocated for various ongoing projects whereas Rs 8.231 million for new project, according to the budgetary document released here on Saturday. Among the ongoing projects, Rs 229.236 million have been allocated for purchase of equipment, furnishing curriculum development and training of Pakistan School of Fashion Design Lahore, Rs 137.459 million for Restructuring Foreign Trade Institute of Pakistan, Islamabad and Rs.37.040 million for Adoption of Social Accountability (SA 8000) Islamabad. The government also allocated Rs 41.155 million for Trade and Transport Facilitation Project-2, Trade and Transport Facilitation Unit (ITFU), Rs 13.170 million for creation of Domestic Commerce Wing in Ministry of Commerce and Rs 7.820 million for Creation of Planning and Monitoring Wing in Ministry of Commerce, Islamabad. The government also earmarked Rs 8.231 million for Programme Management Unit (PMU) for setting up of Regional Reconstruction Opportunity Zones (ROZ) for Trade in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
