LAHORE - The business in Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) remained unchanged for the third consecutive day and closed at 9,182.88 points on Wednesday despite witnessed some business activities though in low value scrips. Total 31 companies traded in the bourse in which eight scrips recorded gains while five sustained losses and 18 remained unchanged. The market capitalisation was improved by Rs 0.5 million to Rs 2.829 trillion. Though trading volume improved on Wednesday business but it was in low value scrips which brought a meagre change in market capitalisation but failed to change in benchark index. The turnover at the local bourse witnessed a tremendous increase as total trading volume remained at 6,22,200 shares as compared to Tuesday trading volume of 2,46,400 shares. The highest trading on Wednesday along with whole week was seen in the scrip of Mohammad Farooq with a volume of 474,000 shares as compared to Tuesday's volume of 85,500 shares of Habib ADM which gained Re 0.08 closed at Rs 2.24. Followed by Jah Sidd. Co which remained unchanged closed at Rs 96.67 with a volume of 51,400 shares. However, National Assets lost Re 0.04 closed at Re 0.40 with a volume of 14,500 shares. Indus Poly and Tri Star Power remained unchanged closed at Re 0.74 and Rs 1.64 with volumes of 11,500 and 11,000 shares respectively. UDL Mod, Sitara Energy and Habib ADM Ltd gained though with minor margins in the tune of Re 0.10, Re 0.23 and Re 0.12 closed at Rs 3.31, Rs 21.00 and Rs 10.28 with volumes of 10,000, 8,000 and 6,000 shares respectively. However, Dewan Auto Engg remained unchanged closed at Rs 1.45 with volume of 5,000 shares. While, Al-Zamin Leasing and Al-Noor Mod shed their values of Re 0.20 and Re 0.15 closed at Rs 2.00 and Rs 3.50 with a volumes of 5,000 and 4,000 shares respectively. Stand Chartered Mod and Mirza Sugar remained unchanged and closed at Rs 8.61 and Rs 2.00 with volumes of 3,500 and 2,500 shares respectively. While Amazai Tex scrip landed in positive column and gained Re 0.16 closed at Re 0.96 with volume of 2,000 shares. Gharibwal Cement was the scrip which has been shedding its value though minutely for the last three consecutive days Re 0.01 closed at Rs 17.59 with volume of 1,500 shares. Zeal Pak and Worldcall Telecom remained unchanged closed at Rs 1.16 and Rs 7.80 respectively with volumes of 1,000 shares each. 1st Fid Leasing landed in positive column gaining Re 0.05 closed at Rs 3.30 with volume of 1,000 shares. Telecard and Bank Al-Habib remained unchanged closed at Rs 3.70 and Rs 34.14 with volumes of 1,000 and 900 shares respectively. Southern Elect scrip shed Re 0.09 closed at Rs 3.60 with volume of 1,000 shares. Texila Engg and Pak Datacom gained Re 0.55 and Rs 1.30 closed at Rs 4.45 and Rs 50.00 with volumes of 500 and 200 shares respectively. Rest of the scrips kept their price values same but traded below 900 shares. Meanwhile, the KSE-30 index also remained unchanged and closed at at 10,003.99 points and KMI-30 index also with no change closed at 11224.18 points. While, Lahore Stock remained unchanged as LSE-25 index closed at 2825.36 points. Total turn over however witnessed decreasing trend as it touched 1,000 shares wherein no scrip gained or lost while 80 scrips remained unchanged as only NICL scrip was traded in the market which remained unchanged closed Rs 2.13.
