ISLAMABAD: Danish ambassador Jesper Moller Sorensen has said Pakistan is lucrative and attractive country for investment and it needs trade, not aid, adding that his country can extend full fledged assistance in energy sector to Pakistan. “Denmark understands it well that Pakistan needs trade rather than aid. Pakistan is a lucrative and attractive country for investment. We are providing incentives to entrepreneurs of Denmark to initiate joint ventures with Pakistan.
Denmark relied on other countries for 40 years to meet its energy needs. Now it is self reliant in this sector”, he said in an interview with state owned TV channel here Saturday. He congratulated people of Pakistan on transition of power in democratic manner in the country. He underlined that broader potential exists for bolstering cooperation in agriculture and dairy farming sectors between Denmark and Pakistan. “We are initiating new development program with Pakistan”, he indicated. “We are cooperating with Pakistan in the manufacturing of medicine for diabetics’, he added. He held that bilateral ties between his country and Pakistan are expanding day by day.
