KARACHI - The Karachi Stock Exchange on Wednesday held a ceremony to mark the IPO of Nishat Power Limited in a befitting manner at the KSE building. Mian Mohammad Mansha, Group Chairman of Nishat group, rang the gong, commencing the formal listing and trading of shares of Nishat Power at the KSE. Speaking on the occasion he said, I am grateful for the immense support received from KSE management in getting required approvals on time to be able launch this IPO. Adnan Afridi, MD KSE said, It is a pleasure to welcome Mian Mansha and formally host the first IPO of FY09 at KSE. We are particularly pleased that KSE is involved in raising capital for Nishat Group in the Power Sector as this is a critical requirement for addressing the countrys energy deficit. Amongst others present on the occasion were, Mian Hassan Mansha CEO of Nishat Power, Aftab Ahmad Khan Group Director, from AKD group as lead arrangers, Farid Alam CEO AKD Securities and others.
