Chinese engineers arrive to complete Nandipur power project

LAHORE - Engineers of Chinese company Dong Feng, who had been working at Nandipur Power Project, have arrived in Pakistan to complete the project.
These Chinese engineers would get released all the equipment and instruments of Nandipur Power Project lying at Karachi Port. These Chinese engineers would also soon visit Nandipur Power Project site to initiate developmental work at the earliest. It may be mentioned that Nandipur Power Project was to be completed in 2011, but due to non-release of necessary equipment by the former Federal Government, this national power project was inordinately delayed. Taking personal and keen interest into the matter, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his recent visit to China, met the management of Chinese company, Dong Feng on 5th July and made an understanding with them to restart the development work at Nandipur Power Project, without any further delay. The engineers of the Chinese company, Dong Feng, as per assurance given to the Chief Minister have arrived within three days, and have immediately started the process of inspecting the Nandipur Power Project equipment, and officers of Punjab government are assisting them in this regard.
