ISLAMABAD (APP): Chairman of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA),Dr Hassan Sarosh on Monday said the recent price hike in poultry products was temporary and due to less supply and more demand. He said that PPA has formed a committee to provide subsidy to common masses on poultry chickens. Talking to APP, Dr Hassan said the poultry industry had suffered a lot during last one and half year due to over-production. Chairman PPA said as the farmers are again coming back to the industry, the production would increase and problem of demand and supply would be resolved and prices again would become normal.
Meanwhile, Secretary General, PPA Dr.Bashir Mahmood said that current energy crises in the country was also cause of less production, adding the raise in prices of poultry feeds and medicines was another reason.
