ISLAMABAD (APP) Aimed at providing postal customers a fast mean of sending urgent documents and samples of merchandise to different countries, Pakistan Post has concluded Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) expanding ambit of Electronic Mail Services (EMS) from and to other countries as from June 1, 2011. Senior officials of Pakistan Post told the newsmen here on Sunday that Pakistan Post has signed a MOU expanding ambit of EMS from and to Czech Republic, under this MOU senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs.1800 for first 500 grams and Rs. 200 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched thrice-a-week to Prague from Karachi, he said. Pakistan post will also receive EMS items from Czech Republic for delivery in Pakistan. He said that similarly Pakistan Post has concluded MOU expanding ambit of EMS from and to Azerbaijan as from June 1, 2011. Senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs.1600 for first 500 grams and Rs.100 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched four times-a-week to Baku from Karachi. He said that Pakistan post will also receive EMS items from Azerbaijan for delivery in Pakistan. He further said Pakistan Post also signed a MOU with Malta, senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs.2100 for first 500 grams and Rs.200 for every additional 500 grams and Rs.200 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched daily to Malta from Karachi. Pakistan Post will also receive EMS items from Malta for delivery in Pakistan. Pakistan Post has concluded MOU with Croatia, senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs.1800 for first 500 grams and Rs.200 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched thrice-a-week to Zagreb from Karachi. Pakistan post will also receive EMS items from Croatia for delivery in Pakistan. Pakistan Post has signed a MOU expanding ambit of EMS from and to Ukraine as from June 1, 2011. Senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs 2200 for first 500 grams and Rs 250 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched thrice-a-week to Tirana from Karachi. Pakistan post will also receive EMS items from Albania for deliakistan. Similarly Pakistan Post has signed a MOU expanding ambit of EMS from and to Bulgaria, senders may send EMS item up to 30 kg paying Rs. 1700 for first 500 grams and Rs 200 for every additional 500 grams. EMS items so booked will be dispatched daily to Sofia from Karachi. Pakistan Post will also receive EMS items from Bulgaria for delivery in Pakistan.
