KARACHI (APP) - Brisk shipping was observed at the Port where five ships carrying containers, wheat, palm oil and Live Stock were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multipurpose Terminal respectively on Friday. Meanwhile five more ships carrying wheat, Iron ore, coke, palm oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy remained at 60% at the Port on Friday where a total of six ships C.V Saudi Diriyah, C.V AI-Manakh, M.V Maria, M.V Kolocep, M.T Royal Aqua and M.V Bison Express are currently occupying berths to load, offload containers, wheat, palm oil and Live Stock respectively during the report period. Five ships M.V Karavador, C.V Dubai Express, C.V CMA CGM Sambhar, C.V Saudi Diriyah and C.V Al-Manakh sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while two more ships M.V Kolocep and M.V Bison Express are expected to sail on Saturday. Five ships C.V MSC Lucia, C.V Miyunhe, M.V Tai Han Hai, M.V Iran Tabas and M.T Ginga Tiger carrying container, wheat, Iron ore and phosphoric acid are expected to take berths at Container Terminal. Multipurpose Terminal, Iron ore & Coal Berth and Engro Terminal respectively on Saturday, while another oil tanker M.T Stella with 65000 tonnes furnace oil is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day.
