KARACHI - Atif Aslam Bajwa, President and Chief Executive Officer of MCB Bank, completes his term as on June 11. According to spokesman of MCB, he informed the Board of Directors about his decision on June 1 that he had made a personal decision, not to seek any renewal for a further period. The Board has reluctantly accepted his request and in doing so recorded its appreciation for the contribution made by Bajwa during his term as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. M U A Usmani, Group Head Treasury and Foreign Exchange Operations of MCB Bank, has been appointed by the MCB Board as Acting President of the bank effective from June 12. His appointment has been made till such time the Board selects a suitable candidate for appointment as the President and CEO of the Bank, with due approval of the SBP. It may be noted that Usmani has had a long association with MCB Bank and has vast experience in commercial banking.
