Lahore - Pakistan Railways Police (PRP) has finalised counter terrorism plan to ensure protection of passengers and railways’ infrastructure.
PRP IG Syed Ibne Hussain in a meeting on Tuesday presented Railways police counter terrorism strategy. Railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique presided over the meeting. The minister said that Railways was facing challenge of security along with its restoration. As per the new plan, jammers would be installed in the trains and district police would cooperate with the railways police in patrolling. A comprehensive intelligence system would be established to ensure the protection of Railways track. Aerial surveillance of sensitive areas and cooperation of provincial governments to enhance the patrolling are also the part of new counter terrorism strategy.
