LAHORE - A delegation of Daewoo International Corporation of Korea led by its Country Manager Chung, called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday.
Matters regarding promotion of cooperation in energy, infrastructure and health sectors were discussed in the meeting. Member Provincial Assembly Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Health, Vice Chairman Punjab Investment Board and concerned officers were present.
Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that special incentives are being offered to foreign investors and companies. Shahbaz Sharif said that cooperation of Korean company in setting up solar power projects at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park would be welcomed. He said after Metro bus project, a plan is being evolved for operating metro train for the benefit of citizens. The CM said that the Korean Company should consider cooperation in construction of hospitals, provision of modern health facilities, supply of potable water, metro bus project and metro train.
Mr. Chung said that his company wants to promote cooperation with Punjab government in different sectors. He said that not only resources will be provided to Punjab government for development projects but technical assistance would also be extended.
