PR to be made profitable in three years: GM

LAHORE  - Pakistan Railways General Manager Operations Anjum Pervaiz has said the department will be made profitable within three years.
Addressing a meeting of PREM Union executive members at PR Headquarters Committee Room here on Thursday, he said employees of the PR were imperative as rail operation without their cooperation was impossible. He said the PR had appealed to the government that the department should not be privatised besides assuring the successfully restoration of the railways. He said the minister had directed the administration not to sack employees from sheds, shops and washing-lines. In his address, PREM president Hafiz Salman Butt thanked the minister for his cooperation to eliminate corruption in the PR. PREM senior vice president Sheikh M Anwar, chief organiser Mahmoodulahad, secretary general Khair Muhammad Tonio and other leaders were also present.
