It is regretted that the no reporter contacted the spokesperson regarding the veracity of the news story rather it was published.
PIA spokesman said that flight PK-731 is for the destination Karachi-Jeddah and the flight took off from Karachi and landed at Jeddah Airport where it was destined to land. The flight PK 731 was never intended to go to Riyadh as stated in the news story which is totally false and fabricated.
Out of the total number of passengers only 30 passengers, who were traveling to Riyadh and opted for surface transportation from Jeddah to Riyadh were accommodated in this flight.
The spokesperson of General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al Khabiri has also denied the report that PIA had mistakenly landed at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah that was published in Gulf News.  There is no way that a plane lands by mistake at Jeddah airport, instead of Riyadh because all inbound and outbound flights are in accordance with a specific schedule approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation – Saudi Arabia.
