KESC receives ACCA Gold Category Employer certificate

KARACHI (PR) - Karachi Electric Supply Company received the certificate of ACCA Gold Category Employer at a ceremony at KESC House on Tuesday. KESC CEO Tabish Gauhar and Head of ACCA Pakistan Arif Masud Mirza were present at the occasion, said a Press release issued here on Tuesday. The KESC is one of the few institutions in the country to have received the status of Gold Category Employer of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. The ACCA has 362,000 students and 131,500 members in 170 countries all over the world. The programme to induct ACCA trainees had been started at KESC in 2007 and currently 30 trainees are working with the company. This status symbolises KESCs achievement of attaining best practice standards relating to the development of students aspiring professional qualification. Besides these trainees KESC has an all time running management trainee programme for MBAs and Engineers as well. Tabish Gauhar said on the occasion that our resolve is not only to enlighten Karachi but to enlighten the future of our youth too. This programme is one of the several social responsibility plans that KESC has undertaken to encourage professional excellence in the society and to create a target-oriented work atmosphere, the Press release added.
