Parco urged to continue expansion strategy

ISLAMABAD : Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Jam Kamal Khan on Wednesday encouraged PARCO to continue its expansion strategy and bring more investment to make the country self-reliant in fuel.   The Minister appreciated the growth of PARCO, its significant contribution to national exchequer and development. Upon his arrival, he was received by Chairman PARCO Board, Nawab Hassan Ali Khan, Managing Director, Tariq Rizvi and other senior executives of the Company.  Managing Director PARCO briefed the Minister about company’s operations including its mid-country refinery, cross country pipeline network and marketing activities.
   Rizvi also gave a detailed overview of PARCO’s history, its growth and diversification strategy and how PARCO has been fulfilling its responsibilities as the leading integrated petroleum company in Pakistan.
   The Minister was also informed about PARCO’s acquisitions and future projects.
   Later, the Minister also visited Regional Office of SSGCL Larkana. He was accompanied by notable of the area and a large number of local Muslim League leaders and workers.
   The Minister received a short briefing about the work, being carried out in Larkana Region.
   On this occasion Jam Kamal Khan directed the Regional General Manager to take all necessary measures to resolve the problems of people regarding supply of gas.
   He directed that close coordination may be maintained with the people and their genuine problems and grievances be resolved.
   The Minister also met with CBA Regional Office Representatives in Union Office.
