ISLAMABAD - Marketing Companies have once again jacked up per kilogramme price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs5 at their sweet will even without seeking a notification from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
With this hike in LPG price, domestic cylinder has been made expansive by Rs60 while commercial cylinder by Rs240.
People from remote and hilly areas commonly use Liquefied Petroleum Gas for cooking and lighting purposes. For a long time, they are bearing heavy brunt of skyrocketing LPG price hike. Most often, this increase was because of greed of earning more and more from the business. And, this is the second time within only seven days when the marketing companies have increased the price of gas, and consumers would face inflated prices of a source of energy.
Chairman LPG Producers, Irfan Khokar said there is no logic behind this unsolicited increase in LPG price, as Ogra has not issued notification of LPG price hike. But, the marketing companies have made artificial hike, which in result would add worsen miseries of people from remote and hilly areas.
