LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over wheat procurement campaign in Punjab and congratulated Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin, Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Checma, Secretary Food Aslam Kamboh, Director Food Muhammad Usman and the entire team. The Chief Minister appreciated the performance and efficiency of political and administrative team towards success of wheat procurement campaign during a high level meeting regarding Ramazan Package. He said that excellent arrangements have been made during wheat procurement campaign and no complaint has been received.
 He said that timely payments have been made to the farmers and all matters have been dealt within an excellent manner for which efforts of the entire team are commendable. He said that encouragement of political and administrative machinery over best performance would continue in future as well.
Punjab to install 1000MW project at solar park
Punjab government will set up a 1000 megawatts solar project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park with its own resources and funds will be allocated for this purpose in the next budget. Decision to this effect was taken in a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in the chair, to review pace of implementation of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park project here on Sunday. The Chief Minister said the government was determined to resolve energy crisis for promoting industrial and economic activities and all possible measures were being taken for this purpose.


 All the energy projects were being executed expeditiously to rid the nation of electricity load-shedding, he added. While, a 100 megawatt solar power project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park would be completed by this year end.  The Chief Minister directed for conducting a survey of potential sites for solar power projects in the province.
