Lahore - BISP had no link with the fake massages forwarded to the general public in which criminal elements try to deceive them about their nomination to the Benazir Income Support Programme’s subsidy amounting to Rs25,000, said Abdur Rehman Abid, the Director General BISP Punjab.
In a statement, he added that programme was giving benefit around two million underprivileged families of Punjab to empowers them against the inflationary impact.
“The fake massages are a cyber crime activity and the general public should not come into the fraud of these criminals,” he said. Abid informed that many culprits had been arrested in this illegal activity. “If anybody receives such sort of fraudulent massages then this should be communicated at the earliest to number 0800-26477 or nearest BISP office so that the case is referred to FIA for strict action against these criminal networks,” it has been requested to public.
