ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has arranged two medical camps at Nowshera Khurd and Charsads to extend medical coverage to the flood victims under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The OGDCL management has approved Rs 100 million for relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected people in all the four provinces in addition to Rs 200 million contributed towards Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund, OGDCL will organize medical camps and flood relief camps for providing medicine and dry ration alongwith other necessities, says a press release on Saturday. These two medical camps were organized under the administration of senior doctors and assisted by three doctors and paramedical staff at each camp. The OGDCL free medical camp at Nowshera Khurd is supervised by Dr. Sikindar Ali Mingle and assisted by Dr. Afshan and Dr. Ilyas. The medical team provided health coverage to 300 patients of the city and vicinity. OGDCL has provided medicine of rupees one hundred thousand along with the companys vehicles and other supporting staff. The elders of the area appreciated the goodwill gesture of OGDCL management towards flood affected people of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. The other medical camp was organized at Charsada Tangi Road and village Usman Zai under the supervision of Dr M Ihasan and assisted by Dr Farhatand Dr. Ghufar Qureshi. They provided free medicine to the patients and attended about 200 patients. These team will be mapping the whole region by holding camp regularly at different location. At Qadirpur the OGDCL medical team of Field Manager has provided medical cover to over 14,000 people who had moved from Katcha to OGDCL Bund of Qadirpur camps at Tando Mohammad Khan, Nawabshah, Materi and around Hyderabad would commence from Sunday. OGDCL efforts for Uch and surrounding areas are underway so that relief can be provided.
