LAHORE Executive Council of PIAs Senior Staff Association (SSA) met on Friday and expressed its pleasure on the participation of President Asif Ali Zardari in the PIAs employees convocation on Saturday (today). The meeting was presided over by President of SSA, Abid Saleem Khan, who on behalf of officers of PIA thanked Asif Zardari for his participation. He said that it was the first time in the history of Pakistan that any president of was participating in the convention of PIA staff. Participants of the meeting expected that President Zardari would make some special announcement for the betterment of PIA officials. The meeting also appreciated the employees-friendly policies of the PPP government. The meeting was attended by the representatives of PIA associations from across the country. Some sources disclosed that a very expensive stage for the convention was prepared and extraordinary security measures were taken in this regard.
