Qatar Airlines to start flights from Multan to Europe

MULTAN : Direct flights to Europe, America, Switzerland and Gulf state will be introduced from the Multan International Airport in October this year and airlines will also facilitate the mango exporters by introducing cargo flights immediately. Country Manager Qatar Airlines, Sherif Kamel Ismail said this while talking to president of MCCI Muhammad Khan alongwith Sales Manager, Shazia Zaheer. He told that Qatar Airways currently has orders worth over US$50 billion for more than 250 aircraft, including Boeing 787s, 777s, Airbus A350s, A380s and A320 Family of aircraft.
At the recent Skytrax World Airline awards at the 2013 Paris Air Show, the airline was awarded Best Business Class in the World, Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East, and Best Business Class Lounge in the World .
He said the Airways has upgraded its capacity on its Istanbul - Doha route, with an Air bus A330 aircraft.
All flights on the Doha - Istanbul routes will be operated with a modern Air bus A330, featuring a two-class configuration, including up to 24 seats in Business Class and up to 258 seats in Economy Class, he added.
The country manager said in the last two years, the airline has added the following African destinations to its global route network: Benghazi (Libya); Entebbe (Uganda); Kigali (Rwanda); Tripoli (Libya) - re-launched; (Kilimanjaro (Tanzania); and Maputo (Mozambique).
On this Occasion Muhammad Khan Saddozai said that it was a good news that Qatar airlines had planned to introduce international flights from Multan which would facilitate the exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables and other goods Khawaja Muhammad Hussain and Khawaja Azam assisted the President MCCI.
