UK delegation meets AJK President

LAHORE (PPI) - A UK journalists delegation met with Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Raja Zulquernain and discussed matters of mutual interests. The delegation consisted on Al Mustafa Welfare Trust International Chairman Abdul Razaaq Sajid and UK-based journalists including Tahir Choudhry, Wajahat Ali Khan, Mian Tahir Jamil Noorani and Adnan Ahmad Khan. The meeting was continued for one and half hour. AWTI Chairman Abdul Razaaq Sajid while talking to President AJK said that his charity organisation was working in 20 countries across the world and it had played pivotal role in relief and rescue activities during the last year flood in the country. He said Al Mustafa Housing Project is being carried out in flood-hit areas. Under this project, he said, 20 homes out of 10 each in Muzaffargarh and Charsada have been completed with the support of Slough Islamic Trust London and total 100 houses would be constructed for affected families under this project. He also presented a report on relief activities about Al Mustafa Trust in different parts of the world. The President AJK Raja Zulqernain praised Al Mustafa Trust relief activities and appealed that relief network must be enhanced in Azad Kashmir. AJk President further said that oversees Pakistanis could play an important role for resolving the long awaiting Kashmir dispute. He said a large number of UK-based Kashmiris are supporting Kashmir movement. He said Pakistani and Kashmiri communities lived in UK must forget their family, political and territorial differences and they must participate in UK politics for strong lobby. He admitted that internal differences among Kashmiris in UK affecting Kashmir cause. Later the delegation left for Muzaffarabad on the invitation of State government Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
