Businessmen for devising policy against terrorism

LAHORE – The business community, while expressing its shock over the tragic death of Senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Bashir Bilour, has stressed the need for devising a national policy to eradicate terrorism from the country.
All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran central general secretary Naeem Mir observed that political parties should present a clear plan against violence and terrorism. He said that all political parties, security institutions and agencies will have to come on the same page, as presently, political parties’ agenda regarding war against terrorism is not clear.
He asked the government to make security of jails foolproof as prisons have now become the primary source of terrorism and several notorious networks are patronized from prisons.
Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Farooq Iftikhar said that assassination of a senior politician was a conspiracy to create anarchy in the country, therefore, the government should utilized all available resources to track down the conspirators.
He said that law & order situation in the country in general and assassination of Bashir Bilour should be an eye-opener for the government.
