Barclays recognised for empowering ‘next generation’
KARACHI (PR): Barclays Bank Pakistan (BBP) has been recognised for empowering the next generation at the sixth International CSR Summit.
BBP fully supports Barclays’ commitment to 5 Million Young Futures, investing not only money, but employees’ time and expertise in community programmes that enhance the enterprise, employability and financial skills of disadvantaged young people aged 10 to 35 years, by 2015. Speaking at the occasion, Shazad Dada, CEO BBP said, “In Pakistan young people, who account for approx. a third of the population, are facing unprecedented challenges and increasingly high levels of unemployment.
Developing vital skills will help them overcome these challenges so that they can better provide for their families and ultimately support much needed higher economic growth.”
Winner of ‘Rising Talent Award’
LAHORE (PR): Bank Alfalah announced Saqib Khan Khaqwani as the winner of its ‘Rising Talent Award’ at the Aibak Polo Cup. Bank Alfalah awarded Saqib Khan Khaqwani a cash prize worth Rs200,000 at the closing ceremony of the event.
