Warid, Bank Alfalah  launch ‘Mobile Paisa’
LAHORE (Staff Reporter): Warid Telecom and Bank Alfalah Limited have announced the launch of their marketing campaign for Branchless Banking Services under the brand name “Mobile Paisa” in Pakistan. The launch of Mobile Paisa was announced earlier this year with the promise of trust and convenience.
The service is launched in collaboration with Monet (Pvt.) Limited as the technology provider, who are using the technology of Visa International, to offer branchless banking solutions to banks and telcos nationwide.
Both Warid Telecom and Bank Alfalah Limited aim to bridge the gap between banking services and consumers while providing state of the art mobile financial services, bringing convenience, reliability and security all together for their customers.
The available services include Money Transfer, Bill Payments and Customer Mobile Wallets while more services are in the pipeline for consumers, corporates and G2P which will be launched soon. The companies understand the importance of timely payments of bills and transfer of money and other financial needs of customers, hence intend to provide convenience to its consumers accordingly.
Mobile Paisa service is currently available on all Warid Business Centres, franchises and Mobile Paisa shops.

Pharma sector assured of TDAP support
KARACHI (PR): The delegation comprising prominent members of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) led by Ehsan Awan, Senior Vice Chairman (PPMA), met with S M Muneer, Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, at TDAP headoffice in Karachi.
Today Pakistan has total of 688 pharma companies out of which 405 are registered pharma manufacturing units including 24 multinationals. Pharma industry is highly regulated and providing job opportunities to the science graduates.
Pharmaceutical is one of the emerging sector in Pakistan exports and every effort is being taken by TDAP to promote the exports of pharma sector. In pursuance of this objective, Chief Executive TDAP during meeting with PPMA assured that a Pharma Cell would be established within TDAP on the recommendations of the association in order to improvise the internal functioning and also to prioritize /expedite the matter related to Pharmaceutical Industry.
The PPMA members had detailed discussion with the CE, TDAP regarding various problems related to the export of pharmaceutical products from Pakistan. Most highlighted issues were related the procedural bottlenecks that delay or inhibit growth in exports in particular.
PPMA also suggested several other measures that government should take to help the industry, in which special emphasis was on the role of TDAP with other regulatory authorities.
It was also discussed that TDAP would extend the support to pharma industry by providing them a platform for participation in international exhibitions worldwide and by sending trade delegations abroad, besides invited them to take full level participation in the upcoming Expo Pakistan scheduled in October 23-26, 2014.

PSO’s donation
KARACHI (PR): Being a responsible corporate citizen, Pakistan State Oil is continuously playing a constructive role in community building and sustainable development of society. In this connection, a ceremony was held in PSO House for distribution of donation cheques among the NGOs which are working in the fields of health, education and community building. Amjad Parvez Janjua, Managing Director, PSO handed over the cheque to a representative of an NGO.

Esena’s matric result
LAHORE (PR): Esena Foundation has announced Matric result for the year 2013-14. Esena Foundation has distinguished itself once again by obtaining 100pc result in Matriculation examination. Most of the students secured A+, A and B grades. Razia Jalil secured 1st position in the school (Science Group) with 1001 marks whereas Fatima Naeem secured second position.
