MULTAN : The country earned $79 million by exporting 400,000 metric tonnes of citrus fruits last year.According to Agriculture Department information officer Naveed Asmat Kahloon on Monday, citrus fruits was being cultivated at an area of 199,000 hectares in the country and total production of citrus fruit was nearly 2,000,000 tonnes. He observed that citrus fruits had gained unique importance in health improvement and earning. He said that use of citrus fruits was beneficial against cancer, blood pressure and liver complications.
