Strategy devised to reduce load-shedding: Sher

ISLAMABAD - Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that the government has evolved a comprehensive strategy toreduce load-shedding during summer. Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said 1500-megawatt additional electricity would be added in the system by June this year. He said load-shedding duration will not be more than six to eight hours during the summer.  He said the government is giving subsidy of two hundred and twenty six billion rupees to poor consumers.
 The Minister said a transmission line from Iran to Khuzdar is being laid to import electricity from neighboring countries.
