ISLAMABAD - About 1393kg gold has been imported during the first five months of current fiscal year, showing an increase of 12.52 per cent over. 1254kg gold was imported during the same period of last year. The gold imports during the period under review cost $74.812 million against $66.49 million during the same period of previous year. According to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the overall imports of metal group registered an increase of 14.38 per cent during July-November (2012-13) against the same period of last year.
