One-day CNG closure agreed in Sindh, Balochistan

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Sui Southern Gas and CNG Stations Owners Association agreed on closing CNG stations one day a week. The decision to close pumping stations for one day a week in the country, will help save 35 million cubic feet gas daily. Earlier, All Pakistan CNG Stations Owners Associations Chairman Malik Khuda Bux told to a private news channel that the officials from Sui Southern Gas and CNG Stations Owners Association held an emergency meeting. The meeting reached consensus on closing the CNG pumping stations from noon to noon on Fridays and Saturdays in Sindh and Balochistan. The SSG officials told to a private news channel that closing CNG stations for one day a week will save 10 million cubic feet gas in Sindh and Balochistan. Earlier, Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC) and CNG Association in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw agreed to keep pumping stations closed on Tuesdays, which will save daily 25 million cubic feet gas. Meanwhile, the CNG gas stations across the Punjab reopened on Wednesday after a days closure. Large number of people were gathered at CNG stations, a private news channel reported. Government had ordered closure of CNG stations in Punjab once in a week to run gas power stations.
