KCCI pays tribute to late Nizami

KARACHI
The Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry has expressed deep grief and sorrow on sad demise of Dr Majid Nizami, the most senior journalist of Pakistan and Editor-in-Chief/ Publisher of Nawa-e-Waqt Newspaper.
In a statement issued, Chairman Businessmen Group and Former President KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen BMG Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki & Anjum Nisar, Acting President KCCI Muffasar Atta Malik, Vice President KCCI Muhammad Idrees and KCCI Managing Committee members, while recounting the contribution made by veteran journalist, said that Dr. Majid Nizami will always be remembered for his untiring efforts and exceptional services in the field of journalism.
The entire business community of Karachi is grieved and pays glowing tribute to Dr. Majid Nizami who worked tirelessly for the promotion and propagation of Nazria-e-Pakistan, they added.
Acting President KCCI, Muffasar Atta Malik, while highlighting the invaluable services of Dr. Majid Nizami, stated that a glorious and historic chapter of journalism has closed with sad demise of Dr. Nizami.
The newspaper industry has, undoubtedly, lost a staunch and consistent fighter for press freedom and democratic rights, Muffasar Malik added.
BMG leadership and KCCI office bearers prayed that may Almighty Allah rest his departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of bereaved family and the entire Nawa-e-Waqt group to bear this irreparable loss.
