LPG price raised by Rs 4-5 per kg

KARACHI - Marketing companies have increased LPG price by Rs 4-5 per kilo as local producers have reduced production by 40 per cent.
This was stated by patron-in-chief of All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association and Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on LPG Abdul Hadi Khan here Monday.
He said that after this increase, LPG will be sold at Rs 99-100 per kilo in Karachi, Rs 100-101 per kilo in Lahore, Rs 103-104 per kilo in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, and Rs 109-110 per kilo in northern areas, FATA, Mansehra, Batgram and AJK.
Similarly, the price of 11.8 kg cylinder has been enhanced by Rs 40-50 to Rs 1010-1020 in Karachi, Rs 1060-1070 in Lahore, Rs 1208-1230 in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa and Rs 1280-1312 in norther areas, FATA, Batgram and AJK.
Price of 45.4 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 182 to Rs 3914 in Karachi, Rs 4106 in Lahore, Rs 4677 in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Rs 5040 in norther areas, FATA, Batgram and AJK. Hadi pointed out that LPG sale which went up due to price cut last month, has been affected again due to rise in prices in the last three to four days due profiteering and hoarding.
He noted that LPG business has been de-stabilized once again and the local producers are the solely responsible for this emerging scenario.
He pointed out that marketing companies have raised the prices as they are not getting the sufficient supply of LPG from local producers. Hadi appealed to the government to strictly instruct the local producers of LPG to enhance their production and also remove 16 percent sales tax on the import of LPG.
