Pakistan to benefit from Azerbaijans experience

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dr. Eynulla Madatli Saturday called on Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Syed Naveed Qamar here and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. The possible cooperation between the two countries was also discussed during the meeting while the meeting of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) scheduled to be held in Baku later this year from 27th-29th September came also under discussion. Naveed Qamar, who is also the co-chairperson of the JMC, said that both the countries enjoyed excellent close, cordial and long-standing relations characterized and a spirit of brotherhood and solidarity. He said that there were many areas where both the brotherly countries could further expand the existing mutual cooperation, adding that Pakistan could particularly benefit from the Azerbaijans rich experience in the fields of oil and gas exploration, extraction and refining. Madatli said that he looked forward to seeing the Minister in Baku for further cementing ties between the countries. The Joint Ministerial Commission explores vistas of opportunities available in various fields including petroleum, agriculture, food commodities, surgical instruments, pharmaceutical products, tourism, education and training.
