PIA starts two Multan-Jeddah flights a week

LAHORE - PIA is going to start its flights from Multan to Jeddah and Madina to facilitate its passengers from southern Punjab intending to go for Umra, said spokesman of the airlines on Sunday.
He said that two flights would be operated from Multan once-a-week including one flight from Multan to Madina, while other from Multan to Jeddah. He said that PIA was trying its best to facilitate passengers. Earlier the passengers of Southern Punjab had to reach Lahore or Karachi to go Saudi Arabia for Umra or Haj purpose.  To a question about Umra fare increase, he said that no fare was increased but it was a routine matter wherein fares are increased automatically when seats falling in low fares are reserved or booked then passengers have to move to the classes with comparatively high fare. To avail low fare, pilgrims have to get their seats booked earlier, he concluded.
