Efforts on to generate 122MW power through biomass-based projects

ISLAMABAD  : AEDB has issued Letter of Intents (LoIs) to four companies for development of biomass and biogas based power projects. These LoIs have been issued on IPP mode under a framework for power co-generation, approved by ECC.   Around 1500-12000 MW of power is expected to be generated in next 3 to 4 years. The capacity of projects in Megawatt (MW) to whom LoIs have already been issued is JWD Sugar Mills Ltd (Unit-II) 26 MW,  JWD Sugar Mills Ltd (Unit-III) 26 MW, M/s Hamza Sugar Mills Limited 15 MW, M/s RYK Mills Limited 19 MW, M/s SSJD Bio-energy Limited 12 MW, M/s Lumen Energia (Pvt) Limited 12 MW andM/s Biomass Power Generation Limited 12 MW.
