Fruit market dealers meet Punjab governor
LAHORE (Staff Reporter):The Lahore Fruit and Vegetable Markets Ittehad delegation led by its president Ch Zaheer Ahmed called on Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar at Governor’s House on Thursday. The 14-member delegation included SVP M. Ejaz, VP Khalid Ishaq and general secretary Ch Bilal. The delegation briefed the governor about the shifting of Badami Bagh Fruit Market and raised their strong concerns in this regard. The governor assured the delegation of redressal of their genuine issues and issued directives to the DCO to consult all stakeholders for the shifting the market.


 


 


Medicare’s winter carnival

LAHORE (PR): Medicare Trust, a Mother and child care hospital located in the locality of Badami Bagh, in collaboration with Rotary club of Lahore Sharqi has organized their annual winter carnival on Sunday at Ladies Club.
The objective of this event is to create awareness of Medicare Trust’s work in the community besides entertaining students from under privileged schools and helping other NGOs to show their social services in various fields. A total of 500 students from different schools and organizations will be given a fun filled day of games and entertainment along with food and free drinks.


 


 


 


IT heads meet
ISLAMABAD (PR): Top CIO’s, CISO’s and IT heads of the country gathered together for exclusive roundtables, as part of the CSO Central Series organized by CSO/IDG in Pakistan. The events took place in a two part series, to inculcate dialogue about the growing insecurity regarding cloud breaches world over. The first session of CSO Central series focused on creating dialogue around the topic ‘Security, Enterprise and the Cloud.’ It was held as part of Cyber Secure Pakistan 2014 at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad.

EU supports training 
ISLAMABAD (PR): A two-day training workshop was held on the implementation and assessment of ISO/IEC 17043. The European Union funded TRTA II Programme, implemented by UNIDO in association with ITC and WIPO. The workshop was lead by Mr. Richard Collyer, International Accreditation Expert and former Deputy Director of British Standards Institution.


 


 


Pmex to train brokers

KARACHI (PR): In order to facilitate brokerage houses, Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) has initiated free training workshops to all its brokers. The aim is to facilitate the brokerage houses to fully understand the workings of the exchange.
