BAHAWALPUR - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park Site at Deen Garh in Cholistan. The project will be able to produce 1,000 megawatts of electricity after completion.
He said that it was another step towards the elimination of loadshedding from Pakistan.
He further said at Deengarh, a horticulture village will be established. He added that the project would also create jobs for Cholistani people and also help develop the area.
Talking about the rehabilitation of flood victims, he said that he will not take rest till the complete rehabilitation of the victims. He added that soon a survey will start to estimate the damage occurred due to floods in Punjab, and by the end of next month, the flood victims would be provided with the compensation.
The CM visited the Bala Jhallan band and monitored the situation of the band and also addressed the victims. He visited the Bala Jhallan Relief camp near Uch Sharif and talked to the residents. He then visited the medical flood relief camp and livestock relief camp. He announced that free fertilisers and seeds will be provided for the flood affected farmers.
He said that the affected students would be provided with education without any fee for the next one year. He said that to continuously stay protected from the natural disaster of flood, long-term projects have been announced and a report in this respect will be presented in the next one and half month.
