ISLAMABAD - Leader of opposition/ Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Syed Khursheed Shah is likely to meet Chairman NAB Chaudhry Qamar Zaman next week to discuss matters regarding pending recoveries of outstanding dues in different scams.
Since the first PAC meeting is scheduled on December 30 (Monday), Khursheed will hold detailed meeting with the chairman NAB.
Sources said the PAC chairmen would deliberate on the matters regarding pending recoveries of different big scams, which are related to different ministries. They would deliberate mechanism as some of the important cases in the proceeding of the PAC are normally given in the ambit of NAB.
The upcoming meeting will also discuss the mechanism to assign any assignment to NAB regarding recoveries of irregularities by any ministry or division, sources added.
It would not be out of place to mention here that previous PAC had remained in close collaboration of NAB in different cases. Ch Nisar Ali Khan as PAC chairman and other members had assigned different paras of ministries to NAB for probe.
 It is relevant to mention here that PAC Chairman would also meet with the heads of ministries, divisions, departments and constitutional bodies so that future course of action could be discussed.
When contacted, NAB spokesman Ramzan Sajid did not confirm the proposed meeting between the chairman NAB and the chairman PAC.
