islamabad -
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Monday arrested a director level officer of the CDA on charges of creating new residential plots in already developed sectors of the capital in violation of the Authority’s master plan.
FIA sources informed that Naveed-ul-Haq, presently working as director Enforcement Wing of the CDA, has been arrested for misusing his authority when he was director Estate Management-I of CDA.
He is facing charges of creating new residential plots in green belts and open spaces in already developed and closed sectors of the Authority.
“We are investigating the case thoroughly and more arrests are expected in the case,” an official of FIA said on the condition of anonymity.
The accused allegedly granted permissions to the Federal Employees Housing Foundation to get more plots in the closed sectors by identifying different sites despite the fact that Foundation had already consumed its reserved quota in theses sectors. A number of such plots have been created in Sector D-12 and Sector I-8.
The Housing Foundation is responsible to provide residential facilities to federal government employees.
